Hooray, the new SoiSong album, it too surprises us with a bizarre shape. It's not nearly as fantastic as qxn948s, but it's definitely worth hearing for anyone who likes ambient / experimental electronic music.

CoH - Enter Tinnitus (1998) [FLAC&V0]

Shaping sounds with the help of the synth. CoH will remind you of Ryoji Ikeda, yet being surprisingly listenable, at times even catchy. The odd minimal synths, the clicking, popping and bleeping rhythms together become an eerie soundscape.

VA - Nietzsche's Electronic Music (2001, flac)

Normally I wouldn't post something like this, but Nietzsche makes me look so post-modern and existentialist, fuck yeah. Anything featuring Kazumoto Endo must be worth having too. I thought it was gonna be more noisy though, but this is just tracks of glitch / experimental electronica with only a few noisier parts.

I dislike compilations, I do, some forms of compilations are all right, when it's mostly unreleased material by bands who never really released any albums, like DNA on DNA or a Mars compilation (I will post one later). Worst of all are the "best of" compilations though, it's unbelievable how people buy those.

Anyway this album is from Japan dedicated to Nietszche. Since it's a VA and most of these artists are really obscure, the quality is of course unpredictable, but most of them were at least decent. I was expecting more from the Kazumoto Endo one though.

Disc - GaijinCD4 (1998, FLAC & mp3)

"Glitch? Oh well I do quite enjoy the pleasant melodious Kashiwa Daisuke ^^"... NO, this is GLITCH. The stuff that could make someone go "oh shooks, the cd is broken".

Even though never really particularly distorted, it is very dissonant and makes little musical sense enough for me to actually call it noise.

I couldn't possibly imagine how you haven't downloaded this yet. But anyway, it's another post-Coil Sleazy project, this time together with CoH. Brings two specialties together and becomes something great. Sleazy's subtle sound manipulation of the eastern trademark with CoH's rhythmic soundscapes.

Giuseppe Ielasi - Aix (2009)

Aix has a strange sound to it. It's as if all the pops and clicks, fused with the enchanted looping melodies (can i call them that?) come to life. It doesn't feel random or unstructured, but it certainly doesn't feel organized. It's as if you you enter an own little world and listen to all the natural sounds of the objects and creatures of this world. Almost minimalistic in it's sound yet magically engaging.

Ryoji Ikeda - Matrix (2001)

The first cd is among the most psychedelic things I've heard. It's just droning vibrating frequencies slowly morphing in and out. After a while you start wondering what is actually part of the music and what is only in your imagination. Somehow so strangely arousing.
The second cd is more rhythmical, perhaps more accessible I don't know, but I didn't enjoy it as much.
