Khanate - Clean Hands Go Foul (2009)

Being one of the most painful doom metal bands out there, Khanate seems to live up to their reputation at least on the earlier part on the album. The abrasive guitar, slow dooming bass, the vocalist utterly screaming his guts out and with the slow spasmatic drumming it becomes a somewhat harsh mixture. Later on album the dissonance is toned down, the fault in the vocals become all too apparent and they're basically excusing themselves with "well, we're droning". However it's still worth a listen for the earlier part of the album.
